Tips from the pros: Tracking vocals
In the first of a series of intrument-specific tips features, Greg Marshall explains that there is plenty you can do to make getting down that killer vocal take a bit less arduous.
Even professional engineers like myself are sometimes driven to the brink of insanity when it comes to recording vocals, so what chance have you got of doing a proper job at home? Great vocal performances don’t usually just fall from the lips of your singer – you have to make them happen.
