Using Cubase SX3
The latest version of Cubase SX has some inspired new features that will enhance your music-making experience. Hollin Jones shows you the best side of SX3…
Cubase SX3 is the latest release in the well-established Cubase family from Steinberg. A complete rewrite, borrowing nothing from the older Cubase VST software, Cubase since SX1 has been native to Windows XP and Mac OSX. Although SX1 was somewhat more streamlined than VST 5, SX2 saw the re-introduction and addition of some features. Now, not so long after version 2, SX3 represents yet another leap forward in terms of flexibility and power. Steinberg has managed to include a range of new tools that will appeal to a cross section of musicians and producers, building on the existing feature set of SX2. Being careful not to fix what wasn’t broken, the major features remain intact, and the learning curve is still fairly gentle when compared to other sequencers.
