Using D-Verb in Pro Tools
It might be showing its age a little, but as Mark Cousins explains, D-Verb can still be used to produce some great creative reverb effects.
D-Verb has always been one of Pro Tools little hidden gems. It may not be as parameter-laden as some of its more expensive counterparts, but it certainly produces quick, processor-efficient results that put many other applications (and their integrated reverbs) to shame. D-Verb has been an integral part of Pro Tools for many years and is now included as standard with anything from the Mbox right up to fully fledged HD systems. Its controls have remained largely the same, right up to version 6, offering quick access to different algorithms to modify the duration and timbre of the reverb tail. This simple control set enables you to achieve effective results with minimal parameter tweaking.
