Using the built-in pitch-shifting
If you need control over pitch in your Pro Tools project but you don’t have a dedicated plug-in, Elastic Pitch might be the answer. Mike Hillier shows you around.

When Pro Tools debuted Elastic Audio way back in version 7.4 it introduced a whole new approach to time adjustment. Editing became less about cutting and moving regions into place as stretching and squashing. By simply picking up and moving a marker you could automatically stretch audio around it, enabling you to not only move the attack of a note into place, but define its length as well. While Beat Detective still has many advantages over Elastic Time for dealing with time correction (especially in multitrack drum sessions with the multitrack version of Beat Detective), there are plenty of occasions when Elastic Audio is both easier and faster.
