Video tracks in Cubase SX/SL v1 & v2
Cubase now supports the playback and editing of multiple video formats. Hollin Jones looks at how to compose music to picture.
Increasingly, software sequencing applications need to be jacks of all trades just in order to keep up with each other in the features department. One of the newer capabilities now supported by almost all major sequencers is the option to play back video from within a project, and create and edit music and sound over it. In Steinberg’s case, Nuendo is still their flagship post production and music-to-picture tool, but since the inception of the SX series – which is based on the Nuendo kernel – Cubase has inherited some of its video support.
