What's new in SX 2.0?
The latest version of Steinberg’s heavyweight sequencer introduces over 100 new features. Hollin Jones explains how to get the best from the new options.
With Cubase SX version 1, Steinberg took the bold step of completely rewriting its software, borrowing from the source code for Nuendo, its high-end audio post-production application. For Mac users it was the first version of Cubase ever to run natively in OSX, and for both Mac and PC users it represented a completely new experience in music making. Some complained, however, about a perceived disparity of features between Cubase VST and SX – specifically that some features from VST v5 were missing in SX, and that it could be unstable.
