Cubase 5 Workshop - Working with loops Part 1: the basics
Loops are a vital part of the composition process for many people – and Cubase can help you work with them more flexibly. Hollin Jones explains.

When digital samplers first took off as a staple tool of many studios, looped samples suddenly became incredibly popular with producers, especially in genres like hip hop and electronica. Actually, you were always able to loop material using tape, but in the digital domain it is far easier to do. Companies began to offer collections themed around instruments or styles, eventually culminating in huge selections becoming available from the likes of Time+Space, Loopmasters, Prime Loops and others.
