As good a desk as the original 01V was, the similar name given to the 01V96 may be doing it something of a disservice. In fact, with its 320x240-dot LCD screen and huge feature set, the 01V96 is arguably more akin to the 03D. It includes motorised faders, built-in ADAT optical digital interfacing, 24-bit/96kHz resolution, 40-channel simultaneous mixing and four effects units, as well as dynamics and EQ on each channel – all for around 1,700 quid.
