E-mu has been at the forefront of music technology for almost as long as digital technology has been a part of the music-making process. With innovations such as the Emulator in 1981 and the Proteus in 1989, the company has pioneered samplers and sound modules and its product range now encompasses audio hardware, speakers and software, too. The 0404 USB is E-mu’s latest offering – a compact audio and MIDI interface offering a slightly more professional angle on the concept of the portable interface.
