FireWire – doncha just love it? Gone are SCSI storage nightmares, digital video is a breeze, and as for audio… well, there are still a few surprises in store if Yamaha gets its mLAN plan to market. But, for now, we can content ourselves with some pretty nifty audio interfaces. Digidesign, M-Audio and MOTU – to name but a few – have some attractive products in this arena, but just look at the MOTU 828mkII and the words ‘answer to a prayer’ spring to mind.
