Acoustic Energy’s first speaker was the AE1, introduced in 1998. It was designed specifically for studio monitoring, but it also managed to win consecutive hi-fi awards in 1991 and 1992. As new products were developed the AE1 dropped out of the product range, but it retained a faithful following.
