As dancefloor genres merge, hip hop music has seen an obvious movement away from the early sounds of sampling towards a more electronic sound with 808 beats and synth bass stabs. This movement has also filtered through into the world of samples packs and virtual instruments, with new soft synths such as Rob Papen’s SubBoomBass offering bespoke sounds for electro hip hop producers. Aggro-Electro-Boom is the second samples library for SONiVOX’s Playa hip hop virtual instrument and offers a more hardedged, electronic selection than the first.The DVD contains 333 bass, drum and synth loops in 24-bit/44.1kHz WAV, Apple Loops and REX2 formats.
