IK Multimedia helped to define what could be done with amp and effects emulation with the original AmpliTube, the software which, for many, set the level against which all other amp and effects simulators were gauged. The software has been continually refined and expanded and AmpliTube 2 was joined by Ampeg SVX, AmpliTube Metal, AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix and AmpliTube Fender, which all used the underlying audio processing power of AmpliTube 2 to deliver a range of different amps and effects emulations.
