All experienced sound engineers will know that dynamic and condenser microphones both have different sonic qualities. So if either type of microphone has its pros and cons, why not use them both at the same time and blend the sounds together? In fact, many sound engineers have been doing this for decades, and the condenser/dynamic duo is commonly used for mic’ing snare drums, kick drums and electric guitar cabs.
