It was no coincidence that the as first Novation Bass Station appeared
in 1993, the year that ‘TB303 mania’ reached fever-pitch levels in the
UK music industry. An affordable analogue synthesizer with fat bass
sounds, it was clearly aimed at those who couldn’t afford the inflated
second-hand prices being ask asked for the Roland machine – even if
they managed to find one.
