Yellow Tools Candy

Saxophones are notoriously difficult to sample, but Yellow Tools has taken on the challenge. Mark Cousins assesses the results.

Price: £272.00
Manufacturer: Yellow Tools
Website: http://www.yellowtools.com

Since forming in 1999, Yellow Tools’ goal has been to produce realistic samples of instruments that are as close to the real thing as possible. Unlike some other sample developers, Yellows Tools steers clear of processing the recordings in any way – they’re arguably less impressive on first hearing, but ultimately they’re far more flexible.

Score: 8
