When it comes to music, new technology has in many areas grown to complement rather than supersede the old ways of doing things. This is particularly evident in the world of DJ’ing, with vinyl retaining a die-hard following. Increasingly, though, digital solutions are just as likely to be found in a club as analogue ones, and Pioneer is one of the leading manufacturers of digital DJ decks. Its new CDJ-400 sits somewhere around the middle of its product lineup, offering a good range of functions for budding and experienced DJs alike.
