Despite labels like trip hop and chillout being apparently rather unfashionable these days (especially among the bandwagon-jumping music press), scratch the surface and you hear this stuff absolutely everywhere. From ultra-hip soundtracks like CSI to high-profile adverts, chillout music is still very much present and correct – not to mention that in much of Europe and America it never really went away.
