Arturia CS-80V

Arturia does it again with a software emulation of the classic Yamaha CS-80 analogue synth. Ian Waugh goes back to his youth…

Price: £170.00
Manufacturer: Arturia
Website: http://www.arturia.com

You may be forgiven (or so damnably young!) if you haven’t heard of the CS-80 – it was a mega-synth manufactured by Yamaha in 1978. Only around 3,000 units were ever made, but with a list price of almost £5,000 it’s perhaps surprising the company sold as many as that.

Score: 9
