Steinberg Cubase 4.1

The latest updates to Cubase have been packed with new features, so is 4.1 any different? Hollin Jones digs deep...

Price: £650.00
Manufacturer: Steinberg
Website: http://www.steinberg.net

Most ‘point one’ updates are merely a collection of bug fixes or tweaks, but in the case of Cubase 4.1, an impressive array of new features and refinements has been introduced, making this an update worthy of examination. We reviewed version 4 in Issue 44 (November 2006), so here we’ll concentrate specifically on the additional functionality in 4.1.

Score: 9

Would appreciate any start-up tips from pros out there. I have purchased a 2.66 Pentium 2-duo with 4 Gigs Ram, 3 hard drives and dual monitors; with Cubase 4, MAudio Pro interface, Rode Mike, Korg keyboard, KRK monitors

No matter how simplistic, all advice will be appreciated. I am ignorant in the areas of pre-amps, effects usage, and guitar amps for recording.
