Since Cubase dropped the ‘VST’ suffix from its name and underwent a major rewrite, it has emerged in a number of different incarnations. Currently, Cubase 4 is the flagship version, Cubase Studio 4 is the mid-level version, and Sequel is the entry point. There was also a version called SE, which had previously been the most basic version to have a recognisable Cubase feature set.
