Yellow Tools Culture
Could this be the ultimate software percussion instrument collection? Ian Waugh picks up his sticks and gets a dose of Culture...
Price: £269.00
Manufacturer: Yellow Tools
Website: http://www.yellowtools.com
It began with a desire to build a better sampler – or ‘performance tool’ as Yellow Tools tells it – which led to the development of MVIs (Modular Virtual Instruments), of which Culture is the first. Essentially, it’s a sample-based drum and percussion machine, although you really need to throw any preconceptions you have about such devices out of the window – this is sampling gone extreme.
Score: 7
