Mackie d.2
Mackie has jumped headfirst into the DJ arena with the d.2 two-channel mixer. Mike Hillier unleashes his decks.
Price: £586.00
Manufacturer: Mackie

Over the last 15 years, Mackie has established itself as a high-quality, low-cost manufacturer of pro audio hardware. The company’s mixers and PA gear has found its way into many studios and live sound installations, and while audiophile engineers may prefer Neve or SSL desks in the studio, many DJs and dance musicians – including The Prodigy and John ‘00’ Fleming – have been using Mackie desks to produce their hits. So the step from studio and live sound mixers to DJ mixers must have seemed like an obvious one for the company. But with so many DJ mixers available, Mackie has had to push the limits of technology to develop a DJ mixer that stands out from the crowd.
