This isn’t a new product, in fact, its origins date back to the mid 1990s. DAV Electronics was established by ex-Decca engineer Mick Hinton. At one time, it was common for recording studios to modify and even build their own equipment to improve performance. This is one of the reasons that many of the older record labels and studios each had their own unique sound.
