If your home or project studio is anything like typical, the chances are that you won’t have enough room for a large pair of monitor speakers. Finding the space and the money for an amplifier might also be a problem – so what about opting for a pair of active monitors? At under £300, Wharfedale’s Diamond 8.2s include built-in two-way amplification and measure just 360x210x275mm – so they should fit the bill.
