Multitrack tape machines always evolved in multiples of four – and it does seem strange that digital technology mostly follows the same convention. The DigiMax D8, therefore, combines eight mic preamps featuring award-winning Class A XMAX circuitry with 24-bit ADAT digital outputs, plus eight balanced direct analogue jack outputs that run post-gain and pre-converter.
