We’ve covered various iPhone DJ apps in our Mobile Tech section and although they have all had quite impressive technical features, they’ve employed various pop-up windows to access them. This doesn’t lend itself to being easy to use in a mix situation. Thankfully, the iPad-only djay makes good use of the larger display, and although you can sync the playback speed of both tracks based on their BPM information (like the other apps), the real joy of using djay is as a classic vinyl-based interface.
