Getting really good synth sounds can be tricky, especially if you’re on a tight budget and prefer working with real kit rather than software. Most people will, at some point, have listened to a particular sound in a tune and wondered how they can create a similar sound – especially in electronic music, where riffs and lead lines often take the place of vocals as the focus of a track, and so have to be memorable.
