MBR Concepts Electro Lab
Electro Lab sets out to provide more control over your MIDI sounds than the hardware itself. Mike Hillier enters the Lab.

Part of the reason for MIDI’s longevity – the protocol was first implemented back in 1982 – is that it provides a huge degree of control, enabling you to oversee all manner of instruments and effects in real time. That so many modern instruments and effects still come equipped for MIDI and not a modern successor, such as the high-resolution Open Sound Control, is testament to the freedom and popularity of the MIDI protocol. However, despite being in use for over 25 years, some developers are still finding new ways of using and abusing it. MBR Concepts is one such developer, having created Electro Lab to give musicians and producers even more control over their MIDI-equipped instruments and effects.

Hi,
I love your mag and have just recently subscribed to it on a yearly basis.
I also subscribed to SoundOnSound magazine about eight months ago and have not regretted my decision one bit.
However I was under the impression that if i subscribed to your magazine that i would also be entitled to research online any of your archived reviews and articles, though it would appear that i am not able to do this.
Can you please explain why? Why is this not an option, after all i have paid quite a high price for my yearly subscription and I'm not saving a great deal in doing so!
Or maybe i've got it wrong and i've missed something on your site that allows me to do this? Can you clarify?
Regards
JD
