With so many mixer manufacturers putting increasing amounts of effort and expenditure into creating USB-enabled mixers, it is pleasing to see at least one company staying loyal to the concept of solid, dependable mixers free from unnecessary frills. But Soundcraft – manufacturers of the EPM series mixers – has never been a company that bends to the whims of the recording industry. Instead, the company has focused on building equipment dedicated to particular applications, from large-format live consoles to affordable small-format mixers aimed squarely at the project studio enthusiast.
