Getting the EQ right is a crucial part of any mixing or mastering process. Hollin Jones finds out if Pro-Q tips the balance. FabFilter makes a range of plug-ins encompassing both effects and synths. Its latest is Pro-Q – an EQ plug-in designed for mixing and mastering with up to 24 bands. It’s compatible with Mac OSX from 10.4 onwards and Windows from Me (including Vista) and comes in RTAS, VST, VST3 and AU formats as your DAW demands.
