FL Studio has come so far from its initial iteration that it is probably fair to say there are some users out there who are unaware of what the ‘FL’ actually stands for. When Fruityloops was launched in 1998, its unassuming four-channel interface may not have held much promise. But thanks to its ease of use and extremely delicate footprint, the software found a place in many early project studios. To look upon it now, seven generations down the line, is to see an extremely muscular DAW that retains its ease of use and extremely attractive pricing.
