If you’ve never used FL Studio before, you could be forgiven for initially being put off by its rather basic appearance and step-sequencer environment. But anyone who has actually used FL Studio knows that its uncluttered interface belies a potent music-creation tool. So, with open minds, we checked out the latest incarnation, FL Studio 5 XXL. FL Studio 5 XXL includes a 2.5GB sample library, with genres such as guitar, bass, drum hits and loops, pads, synths, vocals, orchestral, world and noise FX. There is plenty there to get you started on your creative journey, but first let’s take a look at how FL Studio actually works.
