Synaptricity is a new plug-in developer currently dedicated to producing plug-ins for the Pro Tools platform. Although difficult to categorise, the company’s first two offerings – Flashback and Centrifuze – suggest a clear intention to steer clear of the compression and EQ plug-ins currently flooding the market. Both plug-ins focus on time-based issues, from Centrifuze’s unique spin on the delay line to the innovative ‘backwards recording’ feature of Flashback.
