With the release of Liquid Mix HD, Focusrite Plug-in Suite, Novation FX Plug-in Suite and Guitar FX Plug-in Suite, it would be fair to say that the Focusrite/Novation team must have been busy over the last few months. Until now, Focusrite’s presence in the plug-in market has been relatively low key, amounting to only a few Pro Tools TDM plug-ins and, of course, the interface for its Liquid Mix. Several of these new Suites, though, offer a surprising number of plug-ins for such a small outlay (five plug-ins for £50, in the case of Novation’s FX Suite), but do they significantly add to what most users will already have in their plug-ins collection?
