Phonic Helix Board 18 FireWire MKII
Can a few small changes make a big difference to Phonic’s updated Helix Board? Mike Hillier investigates...
Price: £450.00
Manufacturer: Phonic

For the original Helix Board FireWire series, Phonic combined a small-format mixer with a 16-channel FireWire mixer, creating a product that was as at home in the project studio as on the road. While mixers with digital interfaces are now commonplace, most still employ only two-channel interfaces and the slower USB protocol. By using the more advanced FireWire protocol, Phonic has avoided the compromises being made by other manufacturers.
