Capturing the intense energy of an amp and speaker running together at full tilt is certainly one of the most exhilarating experiences you can get when recording, but it also creates a few problems that can be tricky to overcome (the most obvious of these is unwanted sounds being picked up by other microphones when you’re tracking live in a studio). Unfortunately, not everyone has isolation booths at their disposal, and even with careful mic placement you might still expect a certain amount of sound to bleed on to other tracks.
