Virtual workstations are popping up all over the place these days. Only a few months ago, Steinberg released Xphraze, which, although not a conventional workstation design, does utilise an internal architecture of patches and combis. And now, just as MOTU’s MachFive (reviewed in Issue 8) streaks into the distance, in its wake appears Hypersonic, Steinberg’s latest VST instrument.
