Yamaha i88x

Yamaha’s mLAN protocol is finally finding its feet, and the company’s i88x audio interface makes full use of it. Mike Hillier gets his studio gear talking...

Price: £879.00
Manufacturer: Yamaha
Website: http://www.yamaha-music.co.uk

It may have been around for some years, but it’s only recently that mLAN has started to really take off. Although it’s available in only a small number of products, the catalogue of mLAN-compatible devices is growing quickly, and Yamaha’s newest addition to the mLAN line – the i88x – adds a portable 1U audio and MIDI interface to the company’s range.

Score: 8
