Anybody remember the Wasp? Developed by Chris Huggett and Adrian Wagner for the Electronic Dream Company, it reigned supreme from 1978 into the early 80s. It was considered the first truly affordable synth, was easy to use and had a distinctive yellow-and-black dummy keyboard. Although certainly not a toy, it was something of a beginner’s instrument.
