Korg KAOSS Pad Entrancer
Korg hits the unchartered waters of video effects with its latest KAOSS – but is the new Entrancer solely for video jocks? Mark Jenkins turns on and tunes in....
Price: £895.00
Manufacturer: Korg
Website: http://www.korg.co.uk
Korg scored a worldwide hit with the original KAOSS Pad – a DJ-oriented effects unit controlled from a two-dimensional touch pad – and followed up on that success with the improved KP2. The next development – given the relative ease with which music and effects can be generated by software alternatives these days – was an obvious one: Korg is now entering the world of video, something Roland has already done (with its Edirol lines including the new V4 Vision mixer) and something VJs have been getting into via software routes, including the (similarly named but completely unrelated) Arkaos package.
Score: 8
