Despite the increasing numbers of more obscure and innovative control surfaces and USB MIDI devices, the keyboard remains the easiest and most common way to get notes into your computer. Add to this the fact that a large number of bedroom producers aren’t laying down twohanded piano concertos – and don’t have a lot of space – and you can see the reasons for the recent increase in small, two-octave MIDI keyboards coming onto the market.
Score: 8
