Two of the most important developments in Focusrite’s product line in recent years have been its range of ‘Liquid’ products, which includes the Liquid Channel and Liquid Mix as well as the company’s range of Saffire FireWire audio interfaces. Individually, of course, both products have contributed to today’s project studios, whether it’s in providing a flexible range of interfacing options or a cutting-edge solution for incorporating classic preamps, compressors and equalizers into the signal path. Up until the release of the Liquid Saffire 56, though, these have been two distinct and separate product lines.
