Although there are a number of different DAWs on the market, it tends to be the big three old-timers of computer-based recording – namely, Pro Tools, Logic Pro and Cubase – that tend to stir up the most passionate debate and opinion from their various devotees. Of the three systems, Logic Pro is probably best-known for being one of the least approachable DAWs, with its Environments, multiple Editor windows and a relatively uninviting user interface all seeming to confuse prospective new users. However, for long-term Logic devotees, these same functions are an essential part of the appeal and day-to-day flexibility of the program.
