Olympus LS-5
With so many portables to choose from, does the LS-5 have that stand-out factor? Liam O’Mullane investigates.
Price: £200.00
Manufacturer: Olympus
Website: http://www.olympus.co.uk

Olympus has been around since 1963 and you may know the brand better for cameras than pro audio. But the company has released numerous tape and digital hand-held recorders over the years and the latest LS-5 model is a lesser featured version of the similar-looking LS-11. Both have evolved from the now discontinued LS-10 and the LS-11 comes with 8GB of internal memory, whereas the LS-5 has a less impressive 2GB. Thankfully, though, both models have an SD card slot to allow up to 32GB of storage.
