Regular readers may remember our nine-star review of Lexicon’s PCM Native Reverb plug-in bundle back in Issue 84 – a score that’s made even more impressive by fact that the plug-in bundle costs almost £1,000! As good as the PCM Native reverb sounds, its high retail price is hard to justify unless you’re a pro user whose bread-and-butter work demands the highest-quality reverb. So, given a long heritage in affordable hardware reverbs, it comes as no surprise to see some of the technology and algorithms behind the PCM Native ported to a more affordable product – the LXP Native Reverb plug-in bundle.
