Yamaha M08

Yamaha’s newest workstation certainly boasts a wealth of player-oriented features, but does it cover all the bases? Hollin Jones test-drives the MO8.

Price: £1,349.00
Manufacturer: Yamaha
Website: http://www.yamaha-europe.com

Yamaha enjoys a solid reputation as an innovator in music technology. Since the introduction of the first modern keyboard synths and workstations, the company has been at the very forefront of design and development. The MO series is descended from the popular Motif ES and is designed to be both a performance instrument and a studio tool. There are two versions: the MO6 and MO8. They are functionally identical, but the MO8 has an 88-key weighted keyboard taken from the acclaimed S90 ES.

Score: 8
