Historically better known as a developer of virtual instruments, Native Instruments has gradually been increasing its presence in the hardware world, with new interfaces and controllers complementing its substantial lineup of software synths and samplers. The latest product from the NI stable is Maschine, a combined hardware controller and software sampler designed to act as a groovebox, but with advanced levels of computer integration.
