Since the introduction of Kore, Native Instruments has been busily updating its synthesizer line with KoreSound browsers and Kore integration. And now, just as NI’s loyal user base was becoming increasingly restless for a brand-new synthesizer, along comes Massive. An entirely new instrument featuring three ‘wave-scanning’ oscillators, multi-mode filters, flexible routing, drag-and-drop modulation, an envelope step sequencer and a set of eight macro controls, Massive has caused something of a stir on the NI forums.
