One of a range of inexpensive new compact mixers from Samson, the MDR8 boasts onboard 24-bit DSP effects and a handy Hard Disk Mode that offers direct monitoring when recording to a computer-based setup. Its control layout follows a design that’s pretty standard on mixers of this size, sporting eight channels arranged as four mono strips and a pair of stereo inputs.
